Shoigu announced the beginning of the formation of the governing bodies of the Leningrad and Moscow military districts

The creation of two new military districts as part of the Ministry of Defense has already begun, and the formation of command and control bodies is currently underway. This was stated by the head of the military department Sergei Shoigu.

The Minister of Defense confirmed the creation of two new military districts within the subordinate ministry – Moscow and Leningrad. According to him, the governing bodies of the new districts, as well as the combined arms army and the army corps, are already being formed. At the same time, weapons are being supplied, units are being coordinated and military personnel are being trained.
