Conservative Institute The son of actor Nicolas Cage was arrested Wednesday for allegedly beating his mother during a mental breakdown.
33-year-old Weston Coppola Cage was booked in Los Angeles over an April incident that left his mother, actor Christina Fulton, battered and bruised.
Around 7 a.m. Wednesday, Weston was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon. He was released on $150,000 bail hours later.

According to People, Weston surrendered at the police station after a warrant was put out for his arrest.
His famous actor father reportedly paid the bail money, according to The Sun.
The arrest is believed to be related to an April incident in which Weston allegedly beat Fulton following an altercation.
âThe family knew this was going to happen but needless to say, it is a very big shock,” a source said of the arrest.
