The Minister of Defense Thandi Modise was held hostage by struggle veterans on Thursday evening.
Minister of Defense Thandi Modise, Minister in the Presidency Mondli Gungubele and Deputy Defense Minister Thabang Makwetla are reportedly currently being held hostage by liberation struggle war veterans at St George Hotel in Gauteng.
MODISE HELD HOSTAGE BY VETERANS
Modise and her delegation met with the veterans on Thursday evening, 14 October. The meeting with the veterans was to discuss benefits and the governmentâs failure to meet their demands, including a gratuity payment of R4 million each.
