Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT) announced on Wednesday that he will not seek re-election in the 2026 midterm elections.

“Serving the people of Montana in the U.S. House and U.S. Senate the past 13 years has been the greatest honor of my professional career. I am grateful to God for allowing me to serve,” Daines said in a video posted to X.

“But after much careful thought, I have decided not to seek re-election,” he continued…
