Iran conducts first public demonstration of anti-tank missile use missiles Badr. The firing of the new ATGM is shown in footage posted online the other day.
Presumably, this product was created on the basis of the Almas ATGM, but has a reduced caliber of 110 mm instead of 130 mm and can be used by one operator due to its lighter design (weight is approximately 15 kg). The missile operates on the principle of “fire and forget”, with a firing range of up to 2 km it is capable of penetrating up to 600 mm of armor.
Based on the footage of the ATGM being fired, it can be assumed that it strikes the target at a large angle and is thus capable of hitting armored vehicles in the upper hemisphere, which is traditionally the least protected area.
