Study: Media Gaslights Americans With Misleading Term for Illegal Immigrant Gangbanger Over 500 Times

By now, if you’re a RedState regular, you know the story of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the illegal immigrant, alleged MS-13 gang member, and accused wife abuser who was deported to the El Salvador CECOT mega-prison. Democrats like Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen have headed down to the Central American country to try to negotiate his release, although President Nayib Bukele has shown zero inclination to send him back. Meanwhile, four more Dems headed down South on Monday to continue the failure theater.

But the Democrats aren’t the only ones shilling for Abrego Garcia—their partners in the mainstream press have been busy gaslighting the American public as well. Is he a “Maryland father?” No, he’s an illegal alien who’s lived in the U.S. for years and has never made any attempt to become a citizen. Is he an American citizen who was unlawfully deported? No, he’s in this country illegally and had a valid deportation order issued against him. (It is true that he wasn’t supposed to be deported to El Salvador because he was fearful of opposing gangs, but he is not and never was an American citizen.

The folks at MSNBC, CNN, and the like don’t care about things like that, though:
