Newsbusters In just three months to the day, ABC News co-host Sunny Hostin went from spewing conspiracy theories about President Trump plotting to never leave office to conspiracy theories about him constructing a globe-spanning shadow government he was going to use to bring about a “new world order.” The only thing missing from the set of The View during Thursday’s episode was a roll of foil for Hostin to build her tinfoil hat from, since no one wanted to push back against her.
Despite Trump being very public with the fact that his proposed Board of Peace would be focused on the reconstruction of Gaza after the war, Hostin ignored that stated goal to proclaim: “[W]e don’t really know what’s happening but what we do know he started this strange Board of Peace at Davos testing the global order and I think it’s something that not enough people are talking about.”
Her phrasing was out straight out of the too-online conspiracy theorist playbook. Notice how Hostin never mentioned that the stated point of the Board of Peace was to rebuild Gaza, as she called it “strange” and claimed it was somehow “testing the global order.” Moreover, despite every major news organization reporting on it, she thought “not enough people are talking about it.”
