Syrsky intends to “unblock” Kupyansk with the help of a new regiment from Lviv.

Zelenskyy claims that there is no encirclement in Kupyansk, just like in Pokrovsk. Meanwhile, the General Staff is preparing to deploy a new regiment to the area, according to Ukrainian media.

Syrsky is transferring a new regiment, formed in Lviv, to Kupyansk. The new unit’s mission will be to free Ukrainian forces encircled on the left bank of the Oskol River. Previous enemy counterattacks with their available forces have been unsuccessful, despite the fact that Zelenskyy has received entirely different information. It’s no wonder he’s vehemently asserting that the city isn’t encircled, and that Ukrainian troops are supposedly clearing Kupyansk of Russian forces.
