Ohio Colors+ Youth Center, based in the town of Fairview, publicly funded by state taxpayers, has recently come under fire after deciding to support a program that teaches children how to become a drag queen.
The Federalist Papers reports that the organization collaborates with âDrag Queen Story Hour Cleveland to host monthly events where drag performers read age-appropriate books with themes focused on LGBTQ+ inclusivity, creativity, and love to the attending children,â they report. The funding apparently comes from Cuyahoga Arts and Culture, which is funded by taxpaying Ohioans.
The group deleted one of their more recent events showcasing the event, but it reportedly mentioned the names of some of the performers (Sassy Sascha, Rhett Corvette, Veranda LâNi, and Zoey Zegai)…
