New reports show cartel smugglers may now be targeting children, as Fentanyl is being colored to look like candy. Multnomah County Sherrif’s Office reported that during an investigation, officers found this new form of fentanyl is even more dangerous than the original.
Newsweek first reported on this new form of powerful opioid and why it’s considered more potent than other forms that have shown up in the past. “We are partnering with Multnomah County health departments to sound the alarm,” Special Investigations Unit Sergeant Matt Ferguson said, according to a press release.
While little is currently known about the investigation, or the individual found in possession of the drugs, the sheriff’s department is still looking into it. “For investigative reasons, the suspect’s name is not being released at this time,” the report read…
