Texas State University Student Finds Out After Grotesque Public Response to Charlie Kirk’s Murder

A Texas State University student is no longer part of the college after he was identified as the person behind a public, grotesque reenactment of the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.

On Tuesday, Texas State University President Dr. Kelly Damphousse released an initial letter that made it clear she and the school were aware of a video online showing one of their students on their San Marcos campus mocking Kirk’s murder and appearing to celebrate it.

The first letter read:

“I am aware of the disturbing video that was taken at an event on our San Marcos campus on Monday. I have directed university officials to take immediate steps to identify the individual in the video. Behavior that trivializes or promotes violence is reprehensible and violates the values of TXST. It will not be tolerated. If this individual is found to be affiliated with TXST, appropriate action will be taken. Let me be clear: expressions that glorify violence or murder have no place on our campuses.”

By the end of the day on Tuesday, Damphousse released a second letter sharing that the student in the video had been identified and that person was no longer part of Texas State University…
