The Battle Plan: How We Overcome

By: Brendi Wells

I was sitting by the water the other day—just watching how the sunlight danced across the surface of the pool, perfectly still, like a mirror. Everything was quiet. And in that stillness, I started thinking about the world. You feel it too, don’t you? That tension in the air. That unshakable sense that we’re standing at the edge of something massive.

For those of us who are awake, it’s impossible to ignore: We’re not just watching a broken world unfold—we’re standing at the edge of something far deeper. Not just another crisis or political stunt. Something deeper. Spiritual.

Many of us have seen this system rising with our own eyes, a beast that doesn’t just want our minds or our bodies, but our very souls. And in that stillness, the Holy Spirit gently reminded me of a powerful scripture:

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb,
and by the word of their testimony,
and they loved not their lives unto the death.” – Revelation 12:11

That’s not just poetic language. It’s a battle plan. Let me explain what the Holy Spirit revealed to me.

The Blood Covers Us

When the darkness presses in, we don’t always know what to do. It feels like too much—too big, too fast. But then comes the reminder: The Blood.

Not just a phrase. Not just a lyric.
The blood of the Lamb.

When we speak it—over our homes, our health, our children, our sleep—something shifts. It draws a line the enemy cannot cross. You may think it sounds strange, but peace falls like armor, even in places thick with fear. That’s not emotion. That’s covenant protection.

Speak the words out loud: “I am covered by the blood of the Lamb.”

There’s no ritual required. No waiting for permission. Every believer has access to that blood-covering.
All it takes is faith.

Speak it. Declare it. Believe it.
Because it works, Father Himself declares:
“So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth—
it shall not return to Me empty,
but it shall accomplish what I desire,
and it shall succeed in that for which I sent it.” – Isaiah 55:11

Our Testimony Is Our Sword

We often think testimonies only count when they’re dramatic—addiction broken, terminal illness healed, someone pulled out of prison. But it’s not just the loud stories that carry power.

Sometimes it’s a whisper: a rent paid just in time. A child protected. A moment of clarity in confusion.
That’s testimony too.

“Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy.” – Psalm 107:2

Every time we speak of what God has done, we strike back at the darkness. It breaks the silence. It makes the enemy nervous—because truth shatters lies.

So don’t hold back.
Even if your story is messy. Even if it’s not finished yet.

Your voice is a weapon.
Your words are light.
Your truth might be what keeps someone else going.

When We Let Go, We Become Dangerous

Here’s the hardest part of Revelation 12:11:

“They love not their lives unto the death.”

Let that sink in.

We all wrestle with it. Who wants to give up comfort? Reputation? Control? But when we let go of those things, something unexpected happens: freedom.

Not the kind sold in political campaigns.
True liberty. The kind that makes you bold. Unshakable. Whole.

“For whoever wants to save their life will lose it,
but whoever loses their life for My sake will find it.” – Matthew 16:25

We’re not called to chase death—we’re called to stop fearing it.
Because when fear loses its grip, the system does too.

That’s when we become dangerous to the beast.
That’s when we really come alive.  “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7.

This Is How We Win

Yes, these days are strange. Heavy. But don’t let that shake you. You were born for this. You are here, now, on purpose.

And here’s how we overcome:

  • By the blood that covers us

  • By the truth we speak

  • By the fearless lives we live

You don’t need to have it all figured out today. Just take the next step.
Refuse the mark. Speak the truth. Plead the blood. Stand firm. Fear nothing!
Then keep going.

One day soon, maybe in another quiet moment—or maybe in the middle of chaos—you’ll look back and realize:

We overcame by the Blood of the Lamb and the Power of Our Testimonies!

And you’ll help someone else do the same.

“Come out of her, My people,
so that you will not share in her sins
or receive any of her plagues.” – Revelation 18:4

Time is short. But you were born for this.

“The Lord is our Judge. The Lord is our Lawgiver. The Lord is our King. He will save us.”
— Isaiah 33:22
