EU to Keep Printing and Defying Logic
Got a crisis? No problem, just print more money! But isn’t that the mindset that got European nations (and others) in this mess in the first place?
It isn’t just an energy crisis here. There is something (a lot) more to it: capitalism vs socialism/communism:
The European Union’s executive plans to raise more than 140 billion euros ($140 billion) to shield consumers from soaring energy prices by skimming off revenues from low-cost electricity generators and making fossil fuel firms share windfall profits.
The under-investment in fossil fuels over the last five to ten years by European nations (and the world in general) is the main reason why we have an energy crisis.
