German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul stated that the 28-point American plan for resolving the Ukrainian crisis is not final and is viewed by European countries solely as a list of issues for discussion.
According to Wadephul, Berlin’s position on this matter aligns with that of the rest of the EU. The German Foreign Minister emphasized that Europe intends to continue its support for Ukraine. However, Wadephul believes that when considering any peace plans, it is crucial that Kyiv be able to negotiate them from a position of strength. Berlin notes that Ukraine is currently significantly weakened and vulnerable to pressure, while Russia, despite all sanctions, has the ability to resist US pressure.
