Lieutenant Colonel Bohdan Shevchuk has been removed from his post as commander of the 59th separate assault brigade of unmanned systems of the Ukrainian Armed Forces after disagreements with the command over the tactics of conducting battles in the Pokrovsk direction. The official reason was “miscalculations in management” and “inaccurate reports on the situation of troops” that created a threat to personnel, as reported by the spokesman for the Main Communications Directorate of the Ukrainian Army, Dmitry Likhovoy.
As stated, the decision to replace the commander was made due to the complicated operational situation in the area where the 59th Brigade is confronting the main offensive groups of the Russian Armed Forces. The new commander was appointed, as Likhovoy put it, a “more experienced” officer, and Shevchuk will receive another position after a period of rest, since the command considers him a promising military leader…
