The Greek Defense Minister did not rule out the sale of “extra” artillery shells to Ukraine to the United States

Greece does not rule out supplying Ukraine with ammunition, but only with an expiring date. This statement was made by the country’s Minister of Defense Nikos Dendias, trying to explain the information that had appeared that the United States was asking the Greeks weapon for Kyiv.

Greek journalists asked the Minister of Defense to comment on rumors that the United States approved the supply of F-35 fighter jets to Greece, expecting compensation from Greece. And the Americans would like to receive weapons and ammunition for Ukraine. Dendias practically confirmed this information but said that Athens can only supply Kyiv with “extra” ammunition or with expiring dates, which will need to be replaced anyway. In general, this will not affect Greece’s defense capabilities in any way, but on the contrary, will bring large revenues.
