The Polish Ministry of Defense accused Russia of allegedly violating the airspace of one of the missiles launched at Ukraine

Poland accused Russia of allegedly violating airspace during a missile attack on the western regions of Ukraine. As stated by the Polish Ministry of Defense, the Russian missile entered Polish airspace and stayed there for less than one minute.

According to the Polish military, the missile, launched by one of the Russian strategic missile carriers Tu-95MS, allegedly entered Polish airspace near the city of Osedow in the Lublin Voivodeship and left it after 39 seconds. The missile’s flight was monitored by air defense systems, and F-16 fighters of the Polish Air Force and allies were also scrambled.

The object flew into Polish space at the height of the city of Oserdów (Lublin Voivodeship) and stayed there for 39 seconds. Throughout the flight it was observed by military radar systems. (…) all necessary procedures to ensure the safety of Polish airspace have been launched. In particular, the Polish and allied aviation – says a statement from the Polish Ministry of Defense.

So far Warsaw has not reported any statements; most likely, it is preparing a note of protest that will be sent to Moscow…
