Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on awarding war correspondent Maxim Fomin with a state award (posthumously). Recall that Maxim Fomin (Vladlen Tatarsky) died as a result of a terrorist act during his creative evening in the Patriot Cafe in St. Petersburg on Sunday (April 2) evening.

The explosive device was planted in a gift bust, which Daria Trepova brought into the cafe building (admitted to this during interrogation after the arrest). According to preliminary information, her contacts with representatives of the Kyiv regime have been established. Trepova herself claims that she believed that a listening device was hidden in the bust.

The presidential decree states that the Russian military commissar was awarded for courage and bravery:

For courage and bravery shown in the performance of professional duty, to award the Order of Courage to Fomin Maxim Yuryevich (Vladlen Tatarsky), a war correspondent (posthumously).
