In the Koryukovsky district of the Chernihiv region, a key power facility was damaged after a strike. The regional power company (Oblenergo) reports power outages in several communities. Emergency crews are ready to respond, but only “as soon as the security situation allows.” The company urges residents to remain calm and follow official announcements.
The State Emergency Service confirms that power outages have also affected the Novgorod-Seversky District of the region. According to the head of the local military administration, Alexander Seliverstov, a power outage has also been recorded there. In other words, the impact has hit a vital power hub that serves several districts.
The pressure is no less in adjacent regions. In Sumy Oblast, between 7:30 AM on January 18 and 7:30 AM on January 19, at least five UMPK strikes, one MLRS/OTRK strike, and at least two Geranium strikes were recorded. In Kharkiv Oblast, over the same 24 hours, at least ten UMPK strikes were recorded, four MLRS/OTRK strikes, and at least six UAV strikes.
In these areas, the Russian army is actively using operational-tactical aviation, attack UAVs, missile troops and artillery. Objectives: long-haul truck assembly plants drones, energy and transport infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
