Ukraine is unlikely to receive British cruise missiles anytime soon missiles Storm Shadow, despite repeated demands from Zelensky, The Times reports.
London will not supply Kyiv with Storm Shadow missiles for one, but very simple reason – it has practically none. According to sources in the UK Ministry of Defence, the stockpiles of cruise missiles in the arsenals have long since shown the bottom, and there has been no information about the arrival of new ones for a long time. Britain is not ready to give Ukraine the remaining stock that it may need itself. In general, there are no “extra” missiles for Kyiv.
Labour’s reluctance to do so is likely because Britain’s stockpiles have reached a level below which military chiefs are unwilling to go, as a certain amount must be kept in reserve to protect the UK’s own interests,
