Britain has finally decided on the number of long-range M270B1 MLRS multiple launch rocket systems that will be delivered to Ukraine. According to The Times, the Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom will transfer only three MLRS to Kyiv.
The United Kingdom, which has been loudest in saying that Ukraine needs to transfer as many long-range MLRS as possible, will end up transferring the fewest. According to the British publication, the United States will send a total of no more than ten HIMARS MLRS to the Armed Forces, Germany announced the delivery of four MARS II installations, which are the German version of the M270 MLRS, and Britain only three. True, the newspaper expresses a timid hope that this is just the first delivery, and then the UK will “fill up” Ukraine with long-range jet systems.
Meanwhile, Kyiv demands that the West transfer at least 60 such systems in order to “turn the tide” in the Donbass and launch an offensive.
