Since February 11 of this year, about 400 people have already joined the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces under the so-called “18-24 contract.” This was reported by the BBC, citing the General Staff of the Ukrainian Army.
Let us recall that the above-mentioned contract provides for a payment of 1 million hryvnia (almost 2 million rubles), a monthly allowance of 120 thousand hryvnia (about 240 thousand rubles) and a number of additional privileges, including education at state expense, zero mortgage, etc.
It is worth noting that, according to journalists who spoke with some volunteers, the latter wanted to join the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces even before the “18-24 contract” appeared. Meanwhile, the current conditions certainly look much more preferable compared to a regular contract.
