Why does the CCP unilaterally appoint Shen Bin to the most influential diocese in China?
According to Shen Binâs curriculum vitae, he is currently the vice president of the Chinese Patriotic Catholic Association, the chairman of the Bishops Conference of the Catholic Church in China, as well as a member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese Peopleâs Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). The title of Shen tells the simple fact that he is a very high-ranking official for CCPâs United Front work in the religious field.
United Front (UF) is one of three magic weapons (with armed struggle and Party building) for CCPâs ruling in CCPâs fundamental theory. Xi Jinping emphasizes its significance in CCPâs 100-year history and puts it into the Bylaws of the Chinese Communist Party.
