The US Army has retired the Beechcraft RC-12 Guardrail and ARL reconnaissance aircraft.

The US Army recently announced the official retirement of the Beechcraft RC-12 Guardrail and Airborne Reconnaissance Low (ARL) reconnaissance aircraft after many years of service. During their long service life history The service’s aircraft have flown more than 120 hours, completing over 30 combat sorties.

Guardrail has been in operation since 1975, when it was deployed to perform reconnaissance missions on the Korean Peninsula, monitoring movements within the demilitarized zone.
