The American press publishes some details of the exchange of the leaders of Azov (*terrorist organization banned in Russia) for Russian pilots and Ukrainian politician Viktor Medvedchuk.
The Wall Street Journal reported on an episode that took place at Ankara airport. The Ukrainian side brought Medvedchuk there, and by that time the Ukrainian militants who had previously surrendered at the Azovstal plant in Mariupol were there.
American journalists write that at first the Ukrainian side stated that there was “mistrust of the Russian side,” believing that Russia “could carry out a frame-up.” In Kyiv they demanded confirmation that those on the lists – “Kalina”, “Volyn”, “Redis”* and some others – had been delivered to the airport.
