Three separate shootings at Mississippi High School Football related events last night leaves multiple dead, multiple injured according to police and other reports.
Three separate shootings connected to high school football and homecoming events left multiple people dead and injured across Mississippi Friday night and early Saturday morning.
Leland Shooting
In Leland, four people were killed and at least twelve others were injured when gunfire erupted shortly after midnight on a main street where crowds had gathered following Leland High School’s homecoming game against Charleston High School.
Leland Mayor John Lee confirmed that four of the injured victims were airlifted to nearby hospitals. Their conditions have not yet been released. As of early Saturday, no suspects were in custody, and investigators were still working to determine what led to the shooting.
The incident did not occur on school grounds but near downtown, where post-game gatherings were underway.
Heidelberg Shooting
