Turning Point USA has officially confirmed what many feared: the organization will not honor slain founder Charlie Kirk’s legacy. Instead of following the path of independence from Isreal that Kirk had begun carving out in the final months of his life, the group has announced a return to its Israel First stance — the very position Kirk had begun to denounce.

In the weeks before his death, Kirk confided in close friends that he had come to see the danger of uncritical loyalty to any foreign power. Text messages shared by multiple associates appear to show Kirk warning that if he spoke out too forcefully, “they are going to kill me.” Many now believe that was more than just paranoia.

Kirk’s sudden death left a vacuum inside the organization he built from scratch — a movement that had once positioned itself as a rebellious, anti-establishment force within American conservatism.
