Frontpage Mag PM invites China’s army for “cold weather training” in Canada – while China holds Canadians captive.
December 10 marked two years since China’s Communist regime seized Canadians Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor. “These two Canadians are an absolute priority for our government,” Canadian foreign minister Francois-Philippe Champagne told reporters, “and we will continue to work tirelessly to secure their immediate release and to stand up for them as a government and as Canadians.” According to another story that broke last week, the government’s true priority is to ignore the captives and stand up for China.
Secret government documents obtained by Rebel News reveal that the Trudeau government invited the People’s Liberation Army to conduct a “winter survival training exercise” at the Canadian Armed Forces base at Petawawa, Ontario. Defense chief Jonathan Vance canceled the training when China kidnapped Kovrig and Spavor. That came days after Canada detained Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou, sought in the United States for fraud.
The government documents name Meng Wenzhou, but not Kovrig and Spavor, who show up only as “consular cases,” with no reference to their status as hostages. The biggest revelation was the cooperation between the Trudeau government and the People’s Liberation Army of Communist China.
“That cold-weather warfare you are referring to is just one of 18 different joint projects the Canadian armed forces had with the People’s Liberation Army in 2019 alone, Rebel News founder Ezra Levant told Tucker Carlson of Fox News. “Canada is training one- and two-star Chinese generals in our war colleges, training lieutenants and majors, commanders. We’re sending Canadians over to China, we’re bringing Chinese — I think they are not just soldiers, I think they’re spies, as well, and I don’t know a single person in this country knew about it.”
Though shocking to many Canadians, and presumably to “Five Eyes” allies USA, UK, Australia and New Zealand, the revelations should come as no surprise. In 2013, Justin Trudeau expressed his “level of admiration for China,” because “their basic dictatorship is allowing them to actually turn their economy around on a dime.” So Trudeau is an admirer of dictatorships and the tyrants who run them. So was his father Pierre Trudeau, long before he became Prime Minister in 1968.
In the early 1950s Stalin tightened his grip on eastern Europe, ramped up persecution of writers and artists, and revived Russia’s traditional anti-Semitism. Under those conditions, only a committed Stalinist would travel to the USSR to participate in Soviet propaganda. Trudeau pere was up to the task.
In 1960, Trudeau visited Communist China in the midst of Chairman Mao’s “Great Leap Forward” that claimed millions of lives, many through a state-imposed famine. In 1970, during the murderous Cultural Revolution, Prime Minister Trudeau recognized the People’s Republic.
In 1971, three years after the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia, with the Gulag still in place, and the regime torturing dissidents in psychiatric hospitals. Trudeau made a pilgrimage to the USSR. There he pronounced the United States, Canada’s closest NATO ally, “a danger to our national identity.”
No previous prime minister had noticed such a threat, which never emerged after Canada and the United States fought as allies in two world wars. Unlike thousands of Canadians, Pierre Trudeau played no part in the Allied victory over Germany’s National Socialist regime. Trudeau was one of the “zombies” who refused to fight.
In 1976, Prime Minister Trudeau paid a visit to Cuba, a Soviet colony and Stalinist dictatorship, and there proclaimed “Viva Castro!” After Castro’s death in 2016, Trudeau fils, “with deep sorrow” praised “a larger than life leader who served his people for almost half a century.” The legendary “El Comandante” was a friend of his father and Trudeau mourned “the loss of this remarkable leader.” In 2020, the former blackface performer demonstrates what happens when a nation bows the knee to a genocidal dictatorship like China.
The concerns of that regime override the welfare of the Canadian nationals the regime kidnaps and holds hostage. Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor become nameless “consular cases,” in effect non-persons, in the manner of countless other victims of Communist tyranny. The Communist regime also overrides the concerns of Canada’s friends and allies.
China practiced cold weather warfare against Americans during the Korean War, and China’s climate affords ample opportunity for winter training. Ezra Levant is doubtless correct that the PLA troops were spies, like many other Chinese nationals abroad. That could spell danger for Canada and her allies, especially the United States.
China has their American Justin Trudeau in the person of Joe Biden, an addled puppet already enmeshed in an influence-peddling scheme involving his son Hunter. Attorney General William Barr knew about two federal investigations into Hunter Biden for months but kept them from public knowledge in advance of the election.
Hunter Biden had keys made for his father and uncle at an office shared with an “emissary” of a Chinese energy company. The “office mate” Joe Biden is on record that the Chinese Communists are “not bad folks, folks. But guess what? They’re not competition for us.”
Joe Biden gives China the key to the whole country, as Justin Trudeau does in Canada. If Canadians and Americans thought that posed a threat to their national identity it would be hard to blame them.
