Trump administration has brought illegal border crossings to an all-time low

Throughout the course of last year’s campaign, President Donald Trump repeatedly pledged to end the migrant crisis along America’s southern border.

Trump delivered on that promise, with newly revealed figures showing how his administration has crushed the inflow of illegal aliens. 

Department of Homeland Security report: “Illegal crossings have collapsed”

According to the Daily Caller, the Department of Homeland Security put out a press release this past Friday which announced that in July, “illegal crossings have collapsed to all-time lows.”

Border Patrol agents apprehended just 4,598 over the course of July along the southern border, with the Daily Caller pointing out that this is almost 500 fewer individuals than the daily average during former President Joe Biden’s term.

Meanwhile, July 20 set a new record for the lowest number of apprehensions in a single day, standing at just 88 individuals.

What’s more, none of those whom the Border Patrol took into custody were subsequently turned loose, marking a stark departure from the prior administration’s approach.
