TRUMP, AG BARR BLAST JOHN BOLTON FOR HIS ‘UNPRECEDENTED’ PUBLISHING OF MEMOIRS THAT HAVE NOT BEEN FULLY VETTED FOR CLASSIFIED INFO YET (VIDEO)

By Duncan Smith

President Donald Trump continues to be treated in ways that no other president before him in the modern era has been treated, and the mistreatment comes from the deep state ‘left’ and ‘right’ — one in the same.

The establishment hates Trump so much they will bend rules, break laws, and ignore protocol just to take their potshots at him and his administration.

The latest of these figures to try and do so is former National Security Adviser John Bolton, whom Trump fired because the man wanted to invade just about everybody the U.S. has a disagreement with.

Now he wants to publish a ‘tell-all book’ — before it’s been fully vetted by the intelligence community, something that is simply “unprecedented,” in Attorney General William Barr’s words.

Neither he nor the president believes Bolton should be permitted to publish the book, at least at this time.

ABC News announced Monday it had secured the first interview with Bolton, to air June 23:

ABC News announced today that chief global affairs correspondent and ‘This Week with George Stephanopoulos’ co-anchor Martha Raddatz will have the first exclusive interview with John Bolton, former National Security Advisor to President Donald Trump, on his new book, ‘The Room Where It Happened: A White House Memoir.’ The one-hour prime-time special will air Sunday, June 21 (9:00–10:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC.

The 592-page memoir and exclusive interview will take readers and viewers inside the decision-making process at the Trump White House. Bolton will provide a first-hand account of crucial moments including private meetings in the Oval Office, the Putin-Trump summit in Helsinki and the president’s historic meetings with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. For the first time publicly, Bolton will also present his account of the July 25, 2019, phone call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and discuss why he didn’t testify during the president’s impeachment trial.

John Bolton’s book ‘The Room Where It Happened: A White House Memoir’ will be released on June 23, 2020, by Simon & Schuster.

Both men gave their opinions about Bolton and the book during a Monday afternoon press conference.

Trump said he considers conversations that he had with Bolton to be automatically classified — and they are — meaning Bolton could face criminal liability for publishing those conversations.

Barr’s point about all of this being “unprecedented” is a reference to Bolton publishing a book so soon after leaving in the White House ‘while the officeholders still in government and it’s about very current events and current leaders and current discussions and current policy issues, many of which are inherently classified.’

Barr also said the administration was trying to get Bolton to allow the declassification process to fully play out.
