Trump appointee fired by group organizing America’s 250th birthday celebration

Earlier this year, President Donald Trump appointed former Fox News producer Ariel Abergel to head America250, the organization which is planning the country’s 250th birthday celebration.

However, Trump’s pick was abruptly fired this week for what Abergel claims was an unauthorized post concerning slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk. 

Abergel was fired by members of bipartisan commission

That’s according to the Daily Mail, which explained on Tuesday that Abergel was removed by the bipartisan US Semi quincentennial Commission.

The newspaper pointed out how in addition to conservatives like Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Attorney General Pam Bondi, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the commission also includes figures such as California Democratic Sen. Alex Padilla.

Padilla has long been a vocal critic of Trump and accused the president of being a “tyrant” while giving an emotional speech in June…
