Trump says he made up his mind about running in 2024 during ‘Hannity’ exclusive

‘Yes’: Trump tells Hannity he’s made up his mind about 2024

Former President Donald Trump has apparently made a decision about whether he will run again in 2024.

Trump launched a firestorm of new speculation by simply responding, “Yes,” when asked about the subject by Fox News personality Sean Hannity during a pre-taped town hall in Texas on Wednesday.

Prior to Wednesday, Trump had coyly dodged committing himself to running, or not running, yet some of his closest advisers predicted he’d enter the race. Mark Meadows, Trump’s former White House chief of staff, previously told the Washington Examiner that the 45th president would indeed run again but that he likely wouldn’t make an announcement in the near future.

Meadows also predicted that the handful of other Republican presidential hopefuls, including former Vice President Mike Pence and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, would clear the field should Trump announce his intention to run.

“You know, I think Ron DeSantis is identified across the country now for the courage that he shows for conservative solutions,” he stated. “He would be the first to say that if President Trump gets in, that he would win the nomination and would clear the field, and so I don’t ever see it being a 2016 primary scenario.”

It’s worth noting that Meadows’s comments came just days before DeSantis edged out Trump in the 2021 Western Conservative Summit’s presidential straw poll.
