Trump team drops an inconvenient truth while Oprah takes the stage at DNC

Famed talk show host Oprah Winfrey missed the irony in her attacks on Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump during her DNC speech while his campaign reminded her of an inconvenient truth.

Winfrey’s surprise appearance at the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday gave her a platform to whine about her fears over the country and rip into the former president while his team took the opportunity to give Winfrey a blast from her past.

“We know all the old tricks and tropes that are designed to distract us from what actually matters,” Winfrey told the DNC crowd. “But we are beyond ridiculous tweets and lies and foolery. These are complicated times, people, and they require adult conversation. And I welcome those conversations because civilized debate is vital to democracy, and it is the best of America.”
