The Turkish press is discussing the decision by the Americans to send cluster munitions to Ukraine. Recall that earlier US President Biden said that such a decision was made in connection with the depletion of Ukraine’s arsenals of “conventional” ammunition. According to Biden, if cluster munitions are not delivered now, “Ukraine could face serious security problems.”
Turkish columnist Sertach Aksan writes that while handing over cluster bombs to Ukraine, the US should not forget that Russia has a significant amount of similar munitions at its disposal. According to a Turkish observer, Russia will also start using cluster munitions and bombs.
