Just last month Parag Agrawal, Twitter company’s former CTO, was promoted to the head of Twitter after its board of shareholders unanimously voted for him to replace Dorsey.
Since Agrawal’s appointment, the platform has kicked its already-flagrant censorship of dissenting opinions up a couple of notches.
One of the first changes Agrawal made was to ban the sharing or posting of media (images and videos) of any individual unless the person depicted in the media gives their consent, which is an unprecedented move that would severely limit conservative and investigative journalists who rely on videos of crimes and corruption – taken without the perpetrator’s consent – for a large portion of their reporting.
