Russia is increasing the production of fifth-generation fighters Su-57; new production facilities for the latest fighter have been built and put into operation at the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant. The ceremonial event to put new capacities into operation was timed to coincide with the 90th anniversary of KnAAZ. This was reported by the UAC press service.
At the aircraft plant in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, new workshops were built for the production of Su-57 fighters. The fuel system testing buildings and the first stage of the boathouse for testing avionics have already been put into operation. Next, a hangar for testing systems and ground testing of the Su-57 will be put into operation. All this is intended to scale up serial production of aircraft.
The modernization of the plant will not end there; there are plans for a major reconstruction of other plant facilities. As a result, the fighter production process will be more technologically advanced and efficient. Both government funds and the UAC itself are investing in the plant. The program is multi-year.
