UK Government Debuts New “E-Stroke” Technology Where The Presenters Are Generated By AI And Look Nearly Undistinguishable From Real Life

During the video the DHSC reminds viewers that “the wording and presenters found in this video were created using artificial intelligence,” and that “the voices you are hearing and the people you see are not real.”

Yesterday the British National Health Service’s (NHS) Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) published a short video showcasing a new healthcare technology called “e-Stroke” developed by Brainomix. The video narrators, while looking like normal people, are fully animated and voiced by artificial intelligence.

The U.K. government said in a statement today that the e-Stroke system was developed in the country, “uses state-of-the-art AI algorithms to support doctors by providing real-time decision support in the interpretation of brain scans which help inform decisions for stroke patients, allowing more patients to get the right treatment, in the right place, at the right time.”
