The People's Voice The UK government has warned citizens that if they retweet anything deemed ‘offensive’ they will be swiftly arrested and imprisoned.
Stephen Parkinson, the Director of Public Prosecutions, told Sky News that people merely liking or retweeting other people’s content could be committing a serious criminal offence.
Modernity.news reports: Parkinson said social media users could be guilty of “incitement to racial hatred” if they post “insulting or abusive” content that is “likely to stir up racial hatred.”
‘We do have dedicated police officers who are scouring social media to look for this material, and then follow up with arrests.’
