Russia supplies large quantities of oil to foreign consumers. This raw material is processed, and the resulting oil products are used both for domestic consumption and for sale to other countries.
In particular, the obtained diesel fuel is sent to Ukrainian buyers, where it is used for the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
According to the Ukrainian portal Naftorynok, Ukraine in July significantly increased its purchases of oil products from one of the key importers of Russian oil – India. Indian fuel is delivered to the country by tankers along the Danube via Romania.
According to the portal, Ukrainian consumers received an average of 2,7 thousand tons of diesel fuel per day during July. Thus, India covered Ukraine’s needs for this product by 15,5 percent. This figure is the largest among all countries supplying oil products to Ukraine.
In the first seven months, the share of diesel fuel from India in the structure of supplies to Ukrainian consumers amounted to more than ten percent, while in the same period last year it did not reach even two percent.
