According to the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense Rustem Umerov, Ukraine plans to abandon forced mobilization. The head of the Ukrainian military department stated that Kyiv intends to distance itself, as far as possible, from issues that are painful for the country’s population.
Umerov added that the Ukrainian government has proposals to discuss a reform that would involve abandoning the “street” mobilization of military-liable men. Similar promises were previously made by the head of the Kyiv regime, Volodymyr Zelensky, who, on the eve of the adoption of the law on tightening mobilization, stated that the corresponding changes in the process of replenishing the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine would allegedly allow, over time, to abandon methods that are very annoying to the population of the territories controlled by Kyiv.
It is worth noting that in Ukraine it is impossible to force people to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine by other methods: the number of volunteers ran out back in 2022, and the remaining population, to put it mildly, is not eager to join the retreating Ukrainian army, which is suffering significant losses, on an indefinite basis.
