Authorities in California say they rescued a teenage girl who was trafficked into the United States by a Mexican suspect and sexually abused for months.

On Thursday, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office (VCSO) announced a slew of charges against a 31-year-old Mexican citizen identified as Gerardo Cruz.

After about twenty minutes of searching the area of Casitas Springs, the victim was found by deputies.”
