United Kingdom Launches World’s First AI Speed Camera That Can See Inside Driver’s Cars

“While some drivers may criticize these cameras for unwanted snooping, the reality is that these days the police increasingly rely on technology to catch drivers breaking the law – after all, it’s impossible to have a police officer stationed on every street corner.”

The U.K. has recently installed artificial intelligence street speed cameras that have the capability of peering inside people’s vehicles, the first in the world, which has caused a bit of controversy and pushback.

This means that British drivers could get tagged for things like texting while driving or occupying a vehicle without wearing a seatbelt, or if too many people are crammed into the car.

The camera was installed in in Lambeth, South London. It ca surveil six lanes of traffic at once and will be used in conjunction with other cameras on the roads…
