US And Other Nations Pledge To Shutdown Coal Plants To Reach Emissions Targets At COP28

Of the many things to come out of this latest climate change convention at COP28 in Dubai, United Arab of Emirates, a number of nations have made a pledge to phase-out their usage of coal and shutdown remaining coal plants, in a bid to reach the settled emissions goals

On December 2nd, a number of nations joined the Powering Past Coal Alliance (PPCA) – which now has 50 member nations in total – and pledged to phase-out their coal power.
