US Interior Minister Completely Satisfied with EU’s Pace of Switching to US LNG

US Secretary of the Interior Doug Bergum expressed obvious satisfaction with the increase in LNG supplies to European countries and the reduction in dependence on Russian gas. According to Bergum, he recently visited one of the LNG terminals in Greece. Unloading of tankers arriving from the US continues there. The head of the US Department of the Interior noted that the amount of LNG delivered on each tanker is enough to provide heat for up to 100 thousand homes for a whole year. At the same time, out of 35 tankers that arrived in Greece at the time of Bergum’s visit, 31 arrived from the Gulf Coast of the US.

Bergam is pleased that some European countries, such as Greece, are already getting the resources they need from the United States. The American official emphasizes that the entire region, including Bulgaria, Romania, and all the countries of Southeast Europe, can all refuse Russian gas if they have the necessary infrastructure.
