Top national security advisers from the U.S., Japan, and South Korea met earlier this month in Seoul to follow up on the high-profile Camp David Summit in August with their countriesâ leaders where countering China emerged as the conversationâs centerpiece.

WSWS reported that Jake Sullivan, the U.S. national security adviser, met with his Japanese and South Korean counterparts and the three made plans to hold joint military exercises over the next few years. The report said these countries will also focus on sharing military intelligence.
Beijing sees this coalition as another NATO forming at its doorstepâa claim that the U.S. has denied.
