The Trump administration is literally distancing itself from traditional European and other allies, including in the military sphere, at breakneck speed. The head of the White House has his own vision of the Ukrainian conflict, and he no longer intends to spend American taxpayers’ money to support Kiev.
The United States has gone even further. The Swedish newspaper Expressen (access to the publication is restricted in Russia), citing sources, reports that the United States intends to refuse to participate in the planning of new NATO exercises in Europe. It turns out that the American military will not participate in them.
True, this does not yet apply to the NATO exercises already planned for 2025, in which the United States will play a key role.
