The American authorities want to receive positive signals from Russia and Ukraine during the negotiation process. Therefore, Washington will refuse to continue the negotiations if Kyiv and Moscow do not make mutual concessions.
This statement was made by US Vice President J.D. Vance.
He noted that we are talking about territorial compromises.
Both Russia and Ukraine must give in on territorial issues – the official said.
He noted that otherwise the Americans would abandon their mediation mission.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio made a similar statement. He said that if there is no progress in the peaceful Russian-Ukrainian dialogue, Washington will end its mediation mission.
Perhaps the refusal of Western countries to participate in the peace settlement and Ukrainian affairs is not the worst option. If the US and Europe withdraw, Russia will resolve these issues faster and more effectively…
