On Saturday, Vice President Kamala Harris issued what can only be described as a tone-deaf tweet marking the Memorial Day weekend and got hammered for it not the social media site by veterans, Breitbart reported.
âEnjoy the long weekend,â she wrote, adding a picture of herself to the tweet. No mention was made of veterans who gave their lives in the defense of the country.

According to Breitbart:
Veterans lambasted the tweet immediately.
Marine Corps veteran and Fox News contributor Joey Jones responded to Harris with a picture of himself in front of a wall of fallen troops.
Jones, a double amputee, tweeted: âhey @KamalaHarris my buddies wanted me to post our selfie to tell you to âenjoy the long weekendâ too!â

This âlong weekendâ for you is paid for by the blood of our Patriots.
Pay your respects to those who have given us our freedom and to the Gold Star families who gave us their loved ones.
You are the Vice President of the United States, act like it. https://t.co/mMGgwBCiQb

His Lying Demented Fraudulence, Emperor Joe Biden I, the potted plant installed as president after an election many still say was rife with fraud, issued a similar tone-deaf tweet, showing him enjoying an ice cream.
âStay cool this weekend, folks,â he wrote:

Compare those to a tweet issued by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who just happens to be a veteran of the U.S. Navy:
I'm sure they would if they could. https://t.co/ggjHBpOiW7 pic.twitter.com/LGNLf2Ainb

No better way to start Memorial Day Weekend than a Salute to Americaâs Heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice. pic.twitter.com/InvxHnwCpj

Even Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin managed to mention the fallen:
This #MemorialDay, I'll not only be thinking about our fallen soldiers, but also the incredible sacrifices of the families they left behind. They, too, deserve our deepest admiration. We must never forget the lives cut short, nor the lives forever altered. #HonorThem pic.twitter.com/MulRNKYwFD

No doubt, Biden and Harris will probably get around to mentioning the real reason for the holiday, but their first two tweets arenât exactly the model of inspiration.
Kyle Becker put DeSantisâ tweet next to Biden and Harrisâ for comparison:
Two profoundly different ways to 'honor' Memorial Day. Your move in 2024, America.? pic.twitter.com/YBmfkEtnGi
