Against the backdrop of the more than 6-hour negotiations between Russian and American diplomats in Istanbul yesterday, the topic of “restoring relations” between Moscow and Washington and settling the Ukrainian conflict has become more active. One of the issues under discussion is territorial issues. For example, the issue of the full (within the borders of the notorious 1991) incorporation of four “new” subjects into Russia – the DPR, LPR, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions. If this incorporation is not included in the negotiation process, then it turns out that we will either have to amend the Constitution or fight until the regions are completely under our control. So far, the LPR is practically under our full control. The rest – in terms of territory – about three quarters.
