Former President Donald Trump was met with loud cheers and chants of “four more years” as he visited a Bodega in West Harlem on Tuesday evening.
Trump has been ordered to attend every single day of his ongoing trial in Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s dubious case, which is expected to last between six and eight weeks. The former president has slammed the requirement as “election interference” as it will negatively impact his ability to campaign.
On Tuesday, Trump visited a West Harlem bodega that was the site of a notorious incident under Bragg’s tenure. In 2022, a clerk at the store was charged with murder after an ex-con jumped began the counter and started to fight with him.
The clerk, a Dominican immigrant named Jose Alba, was charged with murder after stabbing the man in self defense. Bragg opted to file charges though Alba was stabbed by the attacker, which led to the clerk being sent to Riker’s Island. Charges were ultimately dropped after intense backlash.
